“El Tizate” Apartment Building
La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Nayarit. 2005-2006.
In recent years, the Puerto Vallarta area has experienced an unprecedented real estate boom, particularly along the Rivera Nayarit.
This project is a proposal for a 9,600-square-meter lot located in “El Tizate,” in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, near the junction with the road to Punta Mita.
The project consists of a speculative tower with 70 apartments.
This project presented three specific challenges to be addressed:
- The layout of the building’s footprint
- The layout of the apartments
- The design of the building’s rear facade.
Given that the site experiences heavy rainfall, a channel was proposed for the southern part of the lot, thereby creating a large central open space.
Surrounding this space, a C-shaped building footprint was proposed, with each apartment offering spectacular views of the ocean and the pools.
The design layout allows for flexible modules and a central utility core. The rooftop is designated for penthouses and a terrace spa.
