The Santa Anita Golf Club has strict building regulations.

Its building code promotes the “Californian” style and has historically rejected any attempt at architectural modernity.

Additionally, perimeter fences are not allowed, and the gardens are required to be opened up as much as possible toward the street.

The proposed design consists of a modern, simple layout composed of two large walls. The idea behind the walls is to provide greater privacy.

The first, a curved wall, runs north to south parallel to the access road, while the second serves as the foreground of the composition, defining the public spaces and internal circulation areas.

The heart of the project is a large terrace with a double-height pergola that frames the beautiful garden. A contemporary, understated, and elegant solution was proposed.
