The City of Stockholm launched an international ideas competition to expand the national library, designed by renowned architect Gunnar Asplund.

The brief called for respecting the existing library and proposing an expansion that would connect the old library, the park, and the underground infrastructure.

Our idea was to lower the building and create a large public space through a plaza and a series of interconnected modules.
