“Housing for the athletes for the Panamerican Games 2011”
Guadalajara, Jalisco, 2008
In conjunction with the XVI Pan American Games held in Guadalajara, the state government launched an architectural competition with the aim of integrating the Pan American Village into the historic center.
At the government’s request, the project was to create a new hub for housing, commerce, and services that would help revitalize the city’s downtown area.
The project consists of 108 apartments, 180 parking spaces, and a commercial area. The development comprises several residential blocks arranged around three interior courtyards.
The complex is designed as four separate buildings. To minimize construction costs, two levels of underground parking and one ground-level parking area were proposed.
